Welcome to the IHBMA

The Irish Hardware and Building Materials Association (IHBMA) is the national association representing hardware, DIY, home decor, building supplies, electrical, homewares, garden and agricultural sectors at retail, wholesale and manufacturing level.

We are the national trade association for over 600 firms who make a valuable contribution to the economy of Ireland across a broad spectrum of operations at retail, wholesale and manufacturing level. From family run businesses to publicly quoted companies, IHBMA members serve their local communities competitively through over 780 outlets, providing careers for 12,000 people across Ireland.

For more than six decades we have actively represented the interests of our sectors. Our mission is to promote our common interests, and provide information on the many different aspects of our industry.

The IHBMA is a member of the International Federation of Hardware & Housewares Associations (IHA) - www.ihaworldwide.org, and a member of the European Association of National Builders Merchants Associations (Ufemat) www.ufemat.com. The Irish Hardware and Building Materials Association is a nominating body for elections to Seanad Eireann.
